Звуки речи разделяются на две группы: вокализованные (гласные) и невокализованные (согласные). Вокализованные звуки обычно представляют собой квазипериодическую последовательность импульсов, верхняя граница спектра которых обычно ограничена частотой 800-1000 Гц.
